I’ve shared life with some wonderfully wired dogs—from a rescue boxer who’d never left a Glasgow flat in his first 18 months, to a Hungarian Vizsla who didn’t come with an "off switch".
She was the reason I left my corporate job in veterinary pharmaceuticals to become a dog walker. I needed to build a life that worked for her. It wasn’t easy - she struggled with separation anxiety, noise sensitivity and couldn’t settle, and for years I felt like I was failing her. But in helping her, I found what I was meant to do.
That's why I help other owners of high-energy, high-emotion dogs like spaniels, Labradors and poodle crosses teach their dog to use their nose so they can enjoy a calmer, more connected life at home and on walks.
joined the scentwork classes to help my dog with his confidence. Not only has it helped but he is really enjoying it.
Laura is a fabulous trainer who understands each dog's needs and is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviour and teaching scentwork in a fun way.
Leo and I have completed the 6 week bronze beginner scentwork course and we are continuing the classes with Laura. The first class I thought Leo is never going to be able to do this, he was very excitable, pulling towards other dogs and people. Over the weeks Leo has calmed down so much, is more focused and doing confident searches. I feel Laura really understands each dogs needs, is very helpful with advice and tips how we can improve with our dogs. Leo and I are really enjoying the classes.
Wonderful time at the classes doing Bronze Sniffer dog course with my lab Poppy. Laura is very patient, kind & takes time to chat to you and highlight positives even when you feel you aren’t getting it. Definitely recommend.
